Wild Wolf Brewing Company is a Brewery, Restaurant, Sports Bar and a Shopping Village! We’re located on St. Rt. 151 along the BREW RIDGE TRAIL, in the heart of Nellysford, VA, just 1/4 mile SOUTH of the IGA.
Wild Wolf’s Brewery and restaurant opened along the Brew Ridge Trail on November 11, 2011. The 10- acre property has many unique features making it a ‘must see’ destination. The experience begins with the tree lined drive twinkling with thousands of miniature lights at night. At the entrance to the restaurant the guest is treated to a true Biergarten situated under 60-year-old Siberian Elm trees, including a charming gazebo next to waterfalls and a large Koi pond. The restaurant is situated in a 105 year old building which was the original schoolhouse for the county. The old schoolhouse has been renovated to include wrap around porches with views of the surrounding mountains as well as the charming property. As you walk through the restaurant you enter the new building, which is attached to the old schoolhouse. The new building features a lively sports bar with a large projection screen HD TV as well as two HD TV’s.
Guests have multiple options for outdoor seating. The Biergarten is open whenever the weather permits. In addition, the outdoor pavilion has been enclosed to allow for a screened experience in the summer and a warm cozy experience in the winter. Live music can be enjoyed 3-4 days a week in the pavilion. Wild Wolf is kid friendly with a bounce house and play area ; don’t forget to bring Fido (Wild Wolf is dog friendly in both outdoor seating areas). The view from the pavilion boasts some amazing mountain views, as well as the view of Wild Wolf’s enchanting shopping village. Situated in the center of the village is a working water wheel and a large goldfish pond. Old tobacco barns surrounding the village have been renovated to create a unique series of shops, offering bar accessories, a home brew shop, unique gifts and clothing.
Our goal is to serve the finest, freshest food available; almost all of our food is prepared from scratch. We have a new and wonderful Executive Chef at Wild Wolf, Bryan Nageotte, who is taking our food to a whole new level. In our kitchen food allergy, vegan, and gluten -free customers are important to us too. We have vegan and gluten-free options on our daily menu and are happy to accommodate any special requests. We offer a full menu seven days a week, with Brunch on Sundays from 11-2.
Our brewmaster, Danny Wolf, attended America’s oldest brewing school, Siebel Institute of Technology in Chicago, including a month long program in Europe. Danny and our brewery team work tirelessly to create interesting and unique beers on our 15bbl Premier Stainless brewing system. We have already added more fermentation tanks to the brewery and we are in the process of expanding to add a new building for beer storage. We offer 10-12 different beers at any given time in the restaurant. These can be sampled with the purchase of a house flight or a seasonal flight. Our beers are also distributed across much of Virginia and can be found in many bars, restaurants, grocery stores and specialty shops.
Due to the beauty and uniqueness of the property, Wild Wolf has become a location for weddings, rehearsal dinners and parties. The demand for these events has created the need for additional event space. We are currently in the planning stages for an events pavilion to be added to the Village sometime in the future.
As you leave this wonderful property, be sure to glance to the right of our entrance. We have just added a significant hop yard. We have 400 ‘hills’ which have been planted with Cascade Rhizomes. We expect to have a full harvest within the next year or two. Mhmm – fresh hop Alpha Ale – now, we’re talking!
We accept reservations through our website or via phone 434-361-0088, as well as through opentable.com. Reservations are welcome, but not required. We also accept call-ahead seating during busy times.
